Labor & Employment Litigation Associate

Our client, a highly regarded national law firm, is seeking a litigation associate with approximately 2+ years of experience to join its Denver-based employment practice. This opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated labor and employment matters for a diverse client base, ranging from regional businesses to national employers.

The selected attorney will play an active role in defending workplace disputes, advising employers on day-to-day employment issues, and handling complex wage and hour collective and class action matters.

Representative Responsibilities

  • Defend employers in employment-related litigation before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies.
  • Counsel management teams and human resources professionals on workplace law compliance and risk avoidance strategies.
  • Advise clients on employee relations issues, including workplace investigations, accommodation requests, leave administration, discipline, termination decisions, and policy development.
  • Manage all stages of employment litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, electronic discovery, deposition preparation, motion practice, and settlement strategy.
  • Support and defend wage and hour collective and class action matters involving state and federal employment laws.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop practical, business-oriented solutions to workplace challenges.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of employment litigation or related litigation experience, including exposure to wage and hour disputes, employment discrimination matters, and administrative agency proceedings. Experience taking and defending depositions is preferred. Candidates should possess strong academic credentials, excellent legal writing and analytical skills, and be admitted to practice in Colorado or eligible for admission by waiver or reciprocity.

Compensation for this position ranges from $215,000-$275,000, depending on experience and qualifications, and includes performance and productivity-based bonus opportunities.
